SXSW 2012 was incredible, educational, awe-inspiring, wet, exhausting, fun, and the most overwhelmingly informational (don’t bother to reference the AP Style manual on that, I didn’t) digital event in the history of digital events!
It was wonderful to see so many SMC Dallas members attending this year. Several of our friends were quoted in a Dallas Business Journal article: SXSW draws Dallas social media crowd, including Jessica Nunez, Chris Baccus, Alex Tan and Chris Yates.
Social Media Club of Dallas kicked off SXSW 2012 with a lively tweetup at the Warwick Melrose Hotel in Dallas on March 7th. Sponsored by Visit South Walton, there was fabulous food and drink and lots of gifts for the evening’s most prolific twitterers.
We here at Social Media Club of Dallas would like to say to our new friends at Visit South Walton, “Thank you for the good times and we’ll be visting soon so keep the light on for us!”
We would also like to thank Allen Tsai Photography for the wonderful pictures.
Our next SMC Dallas event will be on April 18. We’ll be combining digital efforts with DFWSEM to bring the one and only Brian Clark of Copyblogger Media out from behind his Mac to share some sage advice on social media and marketing. So be sure to follow @SMCdallas on Twitter for event updates. It’s going to be a packed house.
Hope to see all of you there!
